SEMANTIC CORRELATION BETWEEN AN ABBREVIATION TERM AND ITS EXPANSION. ABBREVIATION DERIVATION

Abstract:  The author focuses on cognitive processes of abbreviation terms. The article considers a process of the abbreviation derivation as a hierarchical pattern in the language and a mechanism that reveals semantic possibilities of the language system.
