The scientific series "COGNITIVE STUDIES OF LANGUAGE" is a periodical printed publication. The series was established by the Institute of Linguistics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin, and the all-Russian public organization "Russian Cognitive Linguists Association" in 2008.
The Series is included in the List of publications recommended by Higher Assessment Commission (HAC) of Ministry of Education and Science of RF for publishing the results of candidate and doctoral dissertations. The Series offers four issues per year. "COGNITIVE STUDIES OF LANGUAGE" has gained wide popularity in scientific circles of Russia and abroad. The Editorial Board of the Series includes well-known domestic and foreign linguists, Doctors of Philology, Professors V.F. Novodranova, N.N. Boldyrev, V.Z. Demyankov, J. Zlatev (Lund, Sweden), L. Talmy (Buffalo, USA) and others.
Articles published within the framework of "COGNITIVE STUDIES OF LANGUAGE" reflect scholars' contribution to the new and promising scientific field – Cognitive Linguistics – which in recent years has been dynamically developing all over the world and recognized as authoritative in Russia and abroad. Special attention is paid to conceptual works on key issues of Cognitive Science in general, analytical materials on research results and monographs. The most reputable scientists in the field of Cognitive Linguistics have already acted and act as authors of the series issues. Their contribution is already regarded as classical in this field and constitutes methodological basis of cognitive research.
