STEREOTYPE AS A LINGUOCOGNITIVE PHENOMENON (INTERPRETATION OF LITERARY TEXT AND ITS MICROTEXTS UNDER EXPERIMENTAL CONDITIONS)

Abstract: 
In the present article the notion of stereotype is treated from the point of view of cognitive linguistics. The experimental data are analyzed to investigate the phenomenon mentioned. The author determines the essential features of knowledge represented by stereotypes. Several kinds of stereotypes are pointed out. The interrelations between the basic structural components of a stereotype are described.
