METALINGUISTIC ROLE OF EVALUATION IN LITERARY DISCOURSE (BASED ON THE NOVEL “THE GIFT”BY VLADIMIR NABOKOV)

Abstract: 
The article is devoted to metalinguistic features of evaluation in the artistic discourse of V. Nabokov's novel “The Gift”. Literary text is the representation of the author's world view. It is based on assessment. Interaction between the author and the reader in an artistic discourse is at the level of language, at the level of meaning and at the level of emotions and evaluations. Assessmant that transmits the author's intent implicitly creates a metalanguage.
