Abstract:
Special attention is drawn to the linguistic and cognitive analysis of stage directions of plays that belong to the theatre of paradox. Genre peculiarities find their reflection both in the structure and semantics of stage directions, which is clearly observed in the metatext of E. Ionesco’s «The Bald Soprano».
