COGNITIVE MECHANISMS IN THE BASIS OF CREATING MEANINGS OF A WORD

Abstract: 
Every polysemantic word has its semantic core that represents a necessary basis for the process of communication and function of a polysemantic word in the lexicon. This semantic core is a part of the meanings of any polysemantic word. It is an invariant, derived from the most frequent meanings of a word.
