COGNITIVE ASPECT OF STUDYING THE SEMANTICS OF DERIVATIVES FORMED FROM PROPER NAMES BY AFFIXATION

Abstract: 
In the article the process of meaning formation of a derivative from proper name is described. The process means the exposure of cognitive models corresponding to word-formative meanings and the usage of cognitive mechanisms – perspective, composition, completion and elaboration. Contextual information and the structure of knowledge evoked by the proper name are also to be examined.
