DISCURSIVE FEATURES OF ENGLISH ABBREVIATIONS IN FICTION

Abstract:  The problem of discourse features of English abbreviations in fiction (profes-sional novels and techno-thrillers) is discussed in this article. It shows the rules of abbreviation introduction into the text in terms of anthropological approach of cog-nitive linguistics, which views the nomination as a specific process directed from re-ality to man and then word.
