ON SOME CASES OF COGNITIVE DISSONANCE IN THE DISCOURSE OF FOOTBALL FANS

Abstract:  The article deals with the problem of cognitive dissonance in football fans' discourse which is justly considered to be an exclusive and original communicative sphere of the language of sport. By the examples of different texts, represented in the given discourse, the author reviews the most typical cases showing contradictory relations between the elements of fans' cognitive system analyzed on the level of an independent linguistic identity's inner world and from the point of view of pattern, actual and other discourse worlds.
