CROSS-LANGUAGE ASYMMETRY OF TEXT COMMUNICATION

Abstract:  The choice of strategies for text understanding and its interpreting is is largely predetermined by the individual who is reading the text. The article discusses the influence of cross-language asymmetry on the process and results of text interpretation, on the means of decoding the source text and reconstructing it in the target text.
