Abstract:  The specificity of terminological nomination in English economic terminology is discussed in the article. The cognitive approach to the study of terms allows us to consider the phenomenon of categorization in the scientific knowledge of economics. The purpose of this work includes consideration of the phenomenon modular principle of categorization, which we have found in the course of multifaceted studying of this terminology.
