THE DYNAMICS OF COGNITIVE AND CONCEPTUAL STRUCTURES OF A WORD: COGNITIVE SEMANTIC APPROACH

Abstract:  The article presents certain results of research on the dynamics of cognitive and conceptual structure of the word «intelligent» [intellectual, n. ] in the beginning of the 21st century (20002015). For the purposes of the research the language capacity of Russian-speakers is modelled after the language of everyday life (horizontal perspective). The employed methodology allows for analysis of stable and unstable characteristics in cognitive and conceptual structures of a word at various stages of the development of language (as a factor of word-meaning evolution in daily consciousness).
