HOMONYMY IN ABBREVIOLOGY

Abstract:  The article illustrates a phenomenon of homonymy by an example of abbreviation homonymy. Abbreviation units are marked with full or partial homonymy. The groups of abbreviation homonyms are defied. Two types of homoacronymy: occasional and intentional are discussed.
