Abstract:  The research deals with the analysis of modern conceptions of metaphor which form the foundation of metaphorology. We regard the dynamics of theoretical conceptions, such as derivation theory of metaphor, metaphorical terminologization, metaphor as a component of multi-modal communication, metaphor in discourse, metaphorical competence. Further perspectives of metaphor modeling have been regarded.
