MEMORY AND ITS ROLE IN THE PROCESSES OF INTERTEXTUAL INTERACTION

Abstract:  The article analyses the role of memory in the formation of intertextual thesaurus, which is understood as linguocultural experience, stored in the memory of an individual in various forms (verbal and visual) and whose presence enables the author to code meaning by means of referring to another text, and allows the reader to decode the meaning expressed by such a code.
