TERMINOLOGICAL UNITS AS A WAY OF VERBALIZATION OF THE CONCEPTUAL METAPHOR "MOTHER" (BASED ON THE MATERIAL OF RUSSIAN AND ENGLISH)

Abstract:  The article considers theoretical presupposition of the conceptual metaphor of motherhood, as well as analyses its verbalization features in the Russian and English languages by means of terminological units of various subject spheres of scientific and technical complex. The authors bring to light such features of the contrasted languages as different ethnically determined denotative and connotative fullness of terms, structural-semantic divergence, isomorphism and functional-semantic parallelism in the ways of verbalization.
