Abstract:  The article presents the results of a cognitive-discursive analysis of the lexical units representing the concept SCHLARAFFENLAND; the role of the CONTAINER metaphor and culinary metaphor in the conceptualization of the utopian ideas and stereotypes in the ordinary consciousness of the 16th century is shown
