PLACE OF BI-ASPECTUAL VERBS IN THE MODEL OF ASPECTUAL CLUSTERS

Abstract:  The present article deals with the aspectual behavior of Bi-aspectual verbs in accordance with two Russian models – traditional model of aspectual pair and the model of aspectual clusters. The article aims to prove that the model of aspectual clusters is more flexible and capacious than the model of aspectual pairs. So it better explains the aspectual phenomena that we encounter in Bi-aspectual verbs. The article also shows the interaction between lexical semantics and aspect.
