GRAMMATICAL METAPHOR AS A PHENOMENON OF PRECEDENCY

Abstract:  The article deals with the conceptual analysis of grammatical metonymy and grammatical metaphor as signs of grammatical category of precedency in the German language. The scientific ideas put forward in the article represent “a fresh and close look” upon the concept of “precedent”. The views are expressed within the frame of the most optimal cognitive model which takes into consideration systematic and discursive variations of derivative grammatical figurative examples which occur due to the changing of cultural, social and political factors.
