Abstract:
The presentation deals with the problem of knowledge representation by proper names on the basis of which English eponyms are formed. The study shows that the names of well-known mythological, Biblical, historic and literary characters within eponymic structures can represent the knowledge about perceptive, locative, behavioral and other features of objects.
