Abstract: The article highlights the issues of objectification of the emotional concept love /affection by the elements of somatic code in the Kabardian language with reference to the Russian and English material. Being a universal code of emotional sphere conceptualization, it is marked by specific features as well. They are displayed in the selection of certain elements and in the singular trajectory of their metaphorical transference.
