Abstract:  The point of the given paper is to compare and contrast the actualization of concept and echo-concept in English written texts. Offering such a term as ‘echo-concept’ the authors give the conditions of its origination and a certain set of characteristics. Analysis was done using texts of English ‘country house novels’ by J. Austen and advertising texts presenting modern country houses as places of leisure and entertainment.
