Abstract
From the position of linguocognitive approach this article addresses the problem of defining the semantics of imaginative adjectives in the Yakut language describing human appearance and build. The aim of this study is to identify the specific lexical- semantic features of adjectival bases that make up the basic part of the lexical richness of the Yakut language.
