Abstract: 
The study of the derivational-semantic space of a word-formation nest in the cognitive aspect allows to get and summarize the information on man’s cognitive activity and cultural-historical experience of both an individual and community, to identify logical links between knowledge structures and language units objectivizing this knowledge.
