THE ROLE OF CONCEPTUAL BASIS IN WORD-FORMATION

Abstract: 
‘Conceptual basis’ represents a comparatively new term in cognitive linguistics. It is used when linguists talk about categorization, word-building, semantic structure of derivatives. The article shows one more issue where this notion is useful, which is polysemy.
