COGNITIVE RHETORIC OF EFFECT: PROCEDURES OF ANALYZING EPIDEICTIC SPEECHES

Abstract: 
The suggested procedure of revealing textual effects, produced by ceremonial speeches, combines the rhetorical stages of text-formation with the force-dynamic theory and image-schematic analysis. The effectiveness of the procedure is proved by the analysis of Queen Elizabeth’ 2012 Christmas broadcast.
