Abstract:
Creation of an adequate theory of mental cognitive representation means that it is necessary to solve interconnected problems of content, form in which it exists in an individual mind and collectively and a suitable form of external representation (notation) of knowledge in the model. The article is devoted to critical analysis of the classical feature and the alternative prototypical theory of cognitive representation in comparison with dynamic form of knowledge existence which is distributed in a society. Also the article analyzes the correlation between cognitive and semantic representation. Quantitative-qualitative character of such conversive categories as «similarity» and «difference» is shown. There are arguments to support quantitative-qualitative, continual-discrete theory of systemic cognitive representation.
Keywords: cognitive, representation, similarity-difference, continuity, discreteness, quantity-quality, parameter, evaluation.
