Abstract
It is suggested in the article that there are some «nuclear» ideas that became the bases of formation of metaphor and metonymy as cognitive mechanisms in the early stages of human consciousness development. These ideas define the vector of evolution for the later development of some mental and linguistic structures. They are, in a hidden form, determine the specifics of processing and representation of the emotional and aesthetic experience. In particular, the bases for the emergence of metaphor and metonymy were the basic concepts INTERFERENCE, AUTHENTICITY, SEMBLANT.
