Abstract:
The research analyzes zoometaphors that are frequently used in the stock ex-change discourse. They are divided into four classes: names of stocks and other securities, names of traders, names of speculative strategies, names of situations in the stock market. Then the author provides explanation of some metaphors and dwells on the origin of the terms “bulls” and “bears”.
