REPRESENTATION OF THE CATEGORY MOTION IN THE GERMAN LANGUAGE BY MEANS OF VERBAL SEMANTICS

Abstract: 
The article is devoted to the features of representation of the category MOTION in the German language by means of verbal semantics. Classification of verbal units according to the type of movement is suggested, which reflects conceptual structure of initial verbs, notably the concepts: MANNER (way or mode of accomplishment of action), MEDIUM (concept pointing out to medium, in which action usually occurs) and VECTOR (vector direction).
