Abstract:
The article has shown means of verbalisation of the concept time in toponymic fragment of regional language world view. The analysis of Tambov toponyms with elements old, old- / new, new- that reflect space orientation in time, shows that, toponyms, the representatives of collective consciousness activity, have become wider due to the process of stratification. This fact allows us to speak about the retrospective cognizing of the nomination and motivation of toponyms, as past-bearing linguistic landmarks.
