Abstract:
The article describes the process of cognitive linguistic transformation of Biblical Babylon, its cultural and historical development from the real ancient city to a conceptual metaphor. The empirical analysis is an attempt to build a linguo-cognitive model of the conceptual meaning and its mental representation.
