YUGRA CONCEPT: MODELING EXPERIENCE

YUGRA CONCEPT: MODELING EXPERIENCE

Author:  Sirotkina Tatyana A.

Abstract
The purpose of the article is to describe the structure and content of the concept UGRA. The material for the research was the dictionaries of dialect speech, poetic texts of local authors, the results of the associative experiment. The analysis showed that the conceptual attitude is changing over time: if in the 19th century Ugra was perceived as a region practically unsuitable for life, then in the minds of modern native speakers it is a region rich in natural resources, rapidly developing, comfortable for living. The novelty of the research lies in the fact that the attempt to construct this concept is the first in linguistics. Therefore, there are obvious prospects for the continuation of this study, associated with expanding the range of analyzed sources, conducting psycholinguistic experiments, using data from electronic corpuses and dictionaries.
