CONCEPTUALIZATION OF SIZE IN COMPOUND ZOONYMS: COGNITIVE MECHANISMS AND MODELS

Abstract:  The article deals with conceptualization of size in compound zoonyms. The cognitive mechanisms and models that determine the creation of English complex zoonyms in the process of conceptual derivation are described. The characteristics that form the semantics of complex zoonyms are identified.
