INTERPRETATION OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE PHRASEOLOGY AS A METHOD FOR DETERMINING CULTURAL SPECIFICITY

Abstract:  Being a case study of Chinese phraseological units of the Chengyu type on the general theme of “WAR”, the paper proposes and approves a method for identifying a culturally specific conceptual component in phraseology. The approach is based on an analysis of translation interpretations of foreign phraseology.
