FOCUS SHIFT AND ITS PARAMETRIC STUDY IN THE DISCOURSE OF DRAMA (in the play “The Cherry Orchard” by A.P. Chekhov)

Abstract: 
The present study describes the procedure of the analysis of drama discourse as a heterogeneous type of discourse which intergrates the author’s and the characters’ discourses. To specify the construal techniques of these discourses the parametric description is offered based on the same principle of focusing. The parametric analysis helps define specific features in the language and discourse construal, and the zones of parameters activity in the discourse of drama.
