PRAGMATIC POTENTIAL OF GENERAL EVALUATION IN SCIENTIFIC DISCOURSE (German Language Case Study)

Abstract: 
Scientific discourse is not only a form of specialist knowledge objectification, but also a product that reflects a specific attitude towards the object of the utterance. This article considers the ways of expressing the general evaluation in terms of its pragmatic potential. Within the context sufficient for its understanding, additional meanings that determine the specifics of the general assessment are analyzed.
