THE ROLE OF COGNITIVE AND COMMUNICATIVE FACTORS IN EVOLUTION OF THE TABOO IN LANGUAGE AND CONSCIOUSNESS (on the material of the German press)

Abstract:  The article is devoted to the problem of reflection of cognitive and communicative factors in lexical semantics of German. In this article the development of the category “taboo” in the German ethno-cultural consciousness and representation of the results of this development in language at different stages of development of the German ethno-cultural community are investigated. In addition, the question of whether it is possible to correct the content of the category under investigation artificially at the state level or any changes are a natural process determined by the ethno-cultural characteristics of society is considered.
