Author:  Z.K. Gukh

Abstract
The article considers the recognition of a single syncretic category – the category of NAME (NOMEN), the act of differatiation of which resulted in the appearance of the finite forms of the verb, and later they gave rise to the NOMINA ACTIONIS producing the Infinitive. The attempt is made to give the definition of the Infinitive by means of the “point” constants SOMETHING, SPEAKER and the «linear» constant TO REVEAL /SHOW ITSELF. The Infinitive presents nominating the way of Something's existence withot coherent explicating any connection with this or the Speaker. The extralinguistic aspect of “Show Itself” is verbalised by the linguistic sign sein. Minimum semantic components of the Infinitive are space and time non-definitiveness, the second member of the binary coherence, potential tense, mood, person and voice.

Keywords:  nomen, infinitive, space and time (non)definitiveness, binary coherence; tense, mood, person, voice in potentia
