LINGUISTIC CATEGORIZATION OF INTERACTIONALITY: THE CASE OF EPISTEMIC VIGILANCE

Abstract: 
The article aims at discussing linguistic marking of epistemic vigilance (EV). Epistemic vigilance represents a metacognitive mechanism that provides the communicants’ trust in each other’s words. The author considers different levels of linguistic coding of epistemic vigilance as well as the parameters affecting inflating or deflating of EV in the process of communication.
