Author:  A.Yu. Malafeev

Abstract
The article analyzes the specifics of world conceptualization in “About Man” by St Ignatius (Bryanchaninov). The author of the article focuses on the key concepts of the Orthodox worldview: man, God, world. The main method of concept analysis is examining the specifics of language explication of these concepts. Basing the analysis on the syntagmatic connections of the concepts' explicators – lexical units man, God and world – the author of the article interprets the meanings emerging in the contexts. This makes it possible to draw conclusions about both specifics of the individual worldview of the author of “About Man” and the Orthodox worldview in general.

Keywords:  world conceptualization, concept of man, Russian Orthodox worldview
