Author:  D. V. Berdnikova

Abstract
The article deals with the verbal representation of the «self-other» category in English folklore texts. It represents an attempt to analyse the linguistic conceptualization of this opposition in terms of space inhabited by humans and the imaginary space. This process is greatly influenced by the interlacing of Celtic and Christian traditions.
