DISCOURSE AS AN OBJECT OF LINGUISTIC CONCEPTOLOGY

Author:  Y. V. Bondarenko

Abstract
Cognitive-discursive paradigm predominating in modern linguistics focuses on the discourse as a complex linguistic cognitive model. The discourse in this aspect is considered as a communicative manifestation of a specific type of consciousness built around a basic (key) concept. The basic concept is logically linked by propositions with other concepts verbalized in the discourse. These propositional links are described as a frame network, its composition varying in dependence on the type of the discourse (i.e. the type of consciousness implemented in this discourse).

Keywords:  cognitive-discursive paradigm, cognitive model, communicative manifestation, (key) concept, a frame network, consciousness
