Abstract:
The paper is concerned with the study of discoursal and cognitive aspects of academic writing in English as a form of scientific communication. For developing effective writing skills in English, it is essential to learn academic vocabulary in academic contexts in terms of special concepts and specific categories of mental processes characteristic of academic writing in English. It is also helpful to master writing strategies by introducing key concepts in thinking and writing processes re-lated to generated academic discourse.
