THE INTERPRETATION OF CULTURAL INFORMATION WITHIN ETHNO-LINGUISTIC CONSCIOUSNESS

Abstract: 
The article analyses universal idioms, originated from biblical expressions. The assumption that cultural components are encoded in the semantic structure of these idioms provides a basis for a specific cultural worldview and national mentality. From an ethno-linguistic point of view different languages go different ways with respect to semantic interpretation.
