Abstract:
The article deals with concept-modeling functions of the cognitive metaphor in the scientific discourse. We analyze how specific is the activity of archaic mythological concepts possessing different semantic attributes. The modern epistemic theories have some mythological features due to the heuristic application of the cognitive metaphorical process of the linguistic consciousness.
