Abstract:
The parallel acquisition of two languages – Russian and Finnish or another language – is compared to the Russian language acquisition by monolinguals. The results obtained show that children try to coordinate their utterances in both languages, that they cross-transfer some grammatical constructions and cultural knowledge, and that they lack some lexis.
