Abstract:
The paper is devoted to the problem of the development of metaphorical taxonomic model of the concept AMERICAN NATION. The following aspects are being taken into consideration: the issue of the category hierarchy level the concept refers to; the analysis of frames belonging to one level; the identification of language means, representing the senses nominated; conceptually-taxonomic modeling of metaphoric language means, representing this concept sphere; verification of metaphoric taxonomic model on the functional level.
