Abstract
The paper touches upon some characteristic features of the scientific text that provide for its playing a particular role as a means of access to human thinking. These include both explicitly represented or implied logic of the author’s reasoning and underlying principles of conceptualization and categorization in science (compared to common experience), as well as reference of text verbal units and constructions to mental structures of knowledge.
