SOCIAL STATUS CATEGORIZATION

Abstract: 
The paper studies the process of social status categorization that reflects collective knowledge of the world and individual knowledge. It considers the specifics of three hierarchical levels and the knowledge of the cognitive domain “prestige” that is revealed in judgements of appraisal.
